UPDATE: Disney just announced they will independently be testing their own toys.

848,000 Chinese-made toys... excessive amounts of lead paint.... sound familiar?

From Barbie accessory toys (manufactured between 9/30/06 and 8/20/07) to Fisher Price Big Big World 6-in-1 Bongo Band toys (sold nationwide from July-Aug 2007) the latest Chinese-made toy recall is Mattel's third in a month. THIRD. IN. A. MONTH!

Lead can cause brain damage when ingested by young children. Under current regulations, children's products found to have more than .06 percent lead accessible to users are subject to a recall.

Please toy makers, get your sh*t together. We're getting pretty tired of pulling toys out of tiny yet freakishly strong fingers.

One Mom who, like the rest of us, has no time to sift through serial numbers, took on Mattel in her own way.
