One Mom vents about why she hates Halloween.
In today's Los Angeles Times, Mom Sandy Banks laments how freaking expensive Halloween is (it's second only to Christmas in holiday spending). Teens and tweens demand multiple costumes, since they go to parties and "want to be something different each time." Hmmm... Would you indulge a multiple-costume request or just say No?

We always make our costumes. I get most of the clothes I need for the costumes at Goodwill etc. As far as buying miltiple costumes at a retail store, No, she would have to earn her own money for them.It doesn’t hurt a child to tell them NO!

Oh come on, how many times a year do you get to dress up and go outside and to parties and stuff. Halloween is sooo fun! I wear multiple costumes too!
