Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be hoochies - even if it's just Halloween.
It's that time of year again. Thousands of girls who seem to be innocent 364 days of the year just have to dress up as a trashy version of their favorite character or occupation. Long gone are the days when a girl is a princess, witch, or nurse. Now, fishnet stockings and stilettos are more common accessories than wands, pointy hats or stethoscopes . What's a Mom to do?

I think the sexy costumes are great for adults, BUT not for young girls. Halloween is supposed to be fun! Not another beauty contest!! The girls are simply trying to outdue each other…and the guys simply get the wrong message!!
Never. I have a 12 year old daughter and wouldn’t allow this, even for 1 night. Once an image is in someone’s head (read boys), it doesn’t leave. That is how boys will see her. Just ask your husbands to remember back when puberty hit and what it is they think about when they see this.
I think to many parents are letting their daughters grow up to quickly. Children should be children, and we set the boundaries on what is appropriate for our children. Everyone is entitled to their own ideals and standards, but i know my father would not have let me out of the house like that, and shame on me if i was caught dressed like that out and about. My father or brother would eventually find out and i would be toast.
