An 8-year-old boy calls police from the car while his mom drives drunk.

KPTV in Seattle reports: "I don't know where we are, and mom's not acting normal," the boy told a dispatcher.

The mother, 33-year-old Paulette Lynn Spears, (no relation to that other Spears) reportedly took the phone away from the boy and told the dispatcher not to worry. She hung up, but the boy called 911 back.

"She's been drinking at a restaurant ... I don't think she knows what's going on," he said in one of the calls. A Clark County sheriff's sergeant said the mom also bit the boy's hand, trying to take the phone from him.

That Mom is very lucky to have such a smart young boy. He may have just saved both of their lives, as well as the lives of others around them, on that frightening night.
