When "Unlimited Texting" Really Isn't

One dad recently received a $10,000 text messaging bill.
After his daughter racked up an astronomical bill, Sean Clark of Bothell, Wash. discovered that "premium" text messages are not included in their "unlimited text-messaging" plan, reports MSNBC. The moral here: Check your plan before handing over the phone to your child, and don't forget to talk about "special offers" that come direct to their phone (like "wallpapers" and "ringtones") because if they're not covered, you will be charged.
