Baseball Star Barry Bonds Indicted
Friday, November 16, 2007
After a four-year investigation into steroid use by pro athletes, authorities charged the famous home run hitter yesterday with four counts of perjury and one charge of obstruction of justice for testifying in 2003 that he never used steroids or human growth hormones. If convicted, Bonds could get 30 years in prison. The indictment came 100 days after Bonds passed Hank Aaron's home run record. Prosecutors allege Bonds lied about not knowing he took steroids from boyhood friend and personal trainer Greg Anderson. For more info, click here.
