DWTS contestants tangoed their way to tighter bodies.

Dancing with The Stars is not only a fun, energetic dance competition, it's also a video weight loss journal. Of course, we tune in to watch Marie Osmond get flung around the dance floor like a rag doll, (literally, a rag doll). But we also watch each week in order to track her weight loss. Marie Osmond has dropped more than 30 pounds since week one, and Jenny Garth and Mel B are not far behind. We know this because as the women lose weight, their stylists lose wardrobe, and we get to see the muscle tone on every inch of them. Thank goodness it's over, because there's not much left to take off. In order to try and follow in these mambo moms' footsteps, we reached out to Bally Total Fitness for some advice, and they recommend...

Tap dancing! A half-hour session of tap apparently burns up to 400 calories. It also increases flexibility and builds muscle tone. You heard it here first—so find a tap class to join or just do what we do, dance around the kitchen with your kids and tell yourself it's a workout.
