McGreevy vs. McGreevy: Round 734

Former Governor McGreevy and ex-wife battle over daughter's birthday.
When it comes to divorce, the kids always suffer, no matter what. When the parents end on bad terms like the McGreevys and custody battles arise, it can really hurt the kids. In case you don't remember, the couple had a very public divorce after Jim McGreevy came out of the closet and subsequently stepped down as governor of New Jersey. We don't think anyone can blame Dina for being a little mad, considering her husband revealed he was gay, admitted to having a boyfriend, and then quit his job.
| According to the New York Post, Jim planned a huge party for his daughter's upcoming birthday on a weekend his ex-wife was scheduled to be with her. A heated email exchange between the two ensued and harsh words were exchanged, including Dina writing, "Pony rides and face painting don't make for a good parent." But does keeping your child from her own birthday party make a good parent? |
