That Name Is So 1926!

filed under:

Old-fashioned baby names like Hazel and Henry are all the rage for babies.

Lately, there seems to be an influx of retro baby names. You know, the ones that were popular, say, 100 years ago, and are suddenly cool again. Names like Gus and Grace and Barron and Beatrice are now frequently heard in the nursery as well as the nursing home. (But thankfully, Bertha and Lester haven't made a comeback quite yet.) What's your fave or least fave old-fashioned baby name? Comment now!

I love the name Beatrice. I think the baby with that name will have a lot of character. But I don’t like the name Hazel, it sound like old mane with a big moustache.

We named our daughter Vivien. It was a family name, but I love the old fashioned names. We get a comment about how nice and old fashioned it is everywhere we go!

Our son is named Henry. Love the name. If I had a girl, she would be Margaret or Evelyn. Old names are classic.
