Here's an icky idea to keep your kids safe from unused medicine.
Want to make sure your kids don't touch discarded drugs? Mix the unused pills with sawdust, coffee grounds or even cat litter, says an Associated Press report.
Apparently, it's better for the environment than flushing them down the
toilet and it makes sure kids won't put them in their mouths because
they’ll be too unappetizing.
While we applaud the idea, we’re not quite sure it’ll work for parents with toddlers who will put just about anything in their mouths except vegetables.
Luckily, the report also suggests mixing unused drugs with excrement (more commonly known as “poo”). Now we’re talking!
Could we use this scheme to render other things off limits? At home, should we make a circle around our computer chair with "poo" so our little one won’t cross the line? Sure, it might be smelly, but at least we’d get a chance to catch up on some emails.
