People magazine has named 37-year-old actor Matt Damon as its 2007 “Sexiest Man Alive." The Oscar-winning star is the 22nd recipient of the magazine’s annual sexy title. People reports that previous winners, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, “shamelessly campaigned” for their good friend so he would take home this top honor. Damon says he accepted the award reluctantly, but admits that it “gave an aging suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime.
