Even after racy pics surface, Disney pays serious cash for Vanessa Hudgens to star in HSM3.
So much for revealing photos ruining an innocent girl's career. Hudgens, who was not contractually obligated to return for the third High School Musical movie, is making bank by signing on, reports MTV.
Many kids have heard about the picture scandal. As parents, what do we do now? Let them watch the movie without explaining the situation? We asked family counselor Rosanne Tobey, L.P.C. how best to broach the subject with our kids. She says it's key to help kids distinguish between the character and the real person. "Put her actions in context," Tobey says. "Point out that she obviously made a mistake. She didn't have maturity to make the right choice. Kids need to know that although her character is a role model, she is not." In other words, Hudgens is a real person and real people, unlike heroes, are not perfect.
