My First PC
Thursday, November 1, 2007
Many companies are beginning to market computers specifically for 6-year-olds.
Today, the Wall Street Journal reports on computers for first graders. Eee PCs feature large icons meant to focus kids on activities such as Internet browsing and word processing. We don't know about you, but our first graders just use our regular computers, and they're more proficient on them than we are. And we, uh, work on a Web site. Maybe they should make a dumbed-down computer for us and leave the more complex ones for our 6-year-olds.
