Peterson Talks to Today About Third Wife’s Bathtub “Murder”
Sgt. Drew Peterson appeared in an exclusive interview on Today this morning, but let his attorney, Joel Brodsk, respond to most questions. Host Matt Lauer pressed the suspect cop, asking him to at least say how he felt in his heart after third wife Kathleen Savio's body was exhumed and the cause of death was changed to homicide. "I'm upset," Peterson responded flatly. Earlier this weekend, Dr. Michael Baden—an independent forensic pathologist hired by Savio’s family—ruled that Savio's death was due to foul play. Meanwhile, Peterson’s second wife, Vicki Connolly, has come forward; she says her then-husband told her “he could kill her and make it look like an accident.” Peterson told Matt Lauer that his kids need a mom and that he wants Stacy to “publicly show herself so we can clear this all up.”
And on Good Morning America, Drew Peterson's first wife, Carol Brown, says that her ex-husband could be "overbearing", but that she would be surprised to learn that he was involved in Stacy Peterson's disappearance or his third wife, Kathleen Savio's death.
