Teacher Kills for Class

Ah, school: reading, writing and…raccoons?
Dead ones, that is.

A teacher in Arkansas was about to start his lesson plan that involved skinning an already deceased raccoon, only to discover a live one was mistakenly delivered to his classroom. So, Jerick Hutchinson did what any overworked high school teacher would do—he took the raccoon out back and shot it with a nail gun.
First of all, let’s just say this story happened in a town called Huntsville and Mr. Hutchinson used to work in a slaughterhouse.
But, come on! Doesn’t animal skinning seem like a strange choice for a high school's curriculum? Maybe not, a Mom•Logic staffer remembers learning about taxidermy in elementary school and another recalls a field trip to a mortuary. Wow, our education dollars at work!
