All I Want for Christmas is a Second Mortgage
How much is too much to spend on our kids?
Some of us go into the holiday season with a budget we plan to stick with. But for many, that goes out the window as soon as the mall doors open and we see all the cool things our kids "need." Perfectly reasonable and responsible adults zip through stores grabbing every toy they can get their paws on knowing damn well they're calculating some debt. Why do we do it?|

The Moms in the Mom•Logic office all spend the holidays in different ways, but one thing remains the same—we spend some serious cash on the kiddos! In fact, there are only two sane Moms—one who admits she hasn't bought anything for her baby girl since her daughter doesn't yet know what the holidays are and she already gets so much from relatives, and the other who spends less than $100 each on her kids. The rest of us spend anywhere from $250 per kid to a whopping $500 per kid. Hi, we're Mom•Logic, and we're shopaholics. You? |
