Failed Celebrity Pregnancy Test
Cast of Notes From The Underbelly takes pregnancy fact quiz.
The hit ABC comedy is about a group of friends in their early 30s who prove that pregnancy doesn't just change your life, but also the lives of all your friends. The show is hilarious, and we were surprised to find out that a show all about motherhood, parenting and pregnancy only has one parent in its entire cast. We thought it would be fun to put them to the test to see if they had learned anything about pregnancy from their characters. Because, let's face it, Moms, we didn't know what a mucus plug was until we had one of our own. Check out how they fared in this Mom•Logic exclusive test. Notes airs Monday nights on ABC.
1. What is a mucus plug?
An accumulation of secretions that form within the opening to the uterus, also called the cervical canal. The fact that mucus accumulates early in pregnancy is quite beneficial, as it serves to create a protective barrier against infection between the outside world and your growing baby.
2. What is cradle cap?
When the skin cells on a baby's scalp grow faster than they can fall off, it leaves a layer of somewhat crusty, extra skin.
3. How soon after labor can you have sex?
Most doctors recommend waiting at least six weeks but it definitely varies woman to woman. Resume sexual activites when you're ready to do so after the initial waiting period.
4. Can babies lactate?
Yes, indeed.
