We recently saw this article about "Girlfriend Getaways'--vacations WITHOUT the hubby and kids. No children waking us up at the crack of dawn? No tripping over our husbands' dirty laundry? We're in.

It seems that all the never-ending demands on a busy Mom's time are causing scores of women to take a break from their daily lives, call up their nearest and dearest girlfriends, and escape to some fabulous destinations like wine country in Napa Valley, a rejuvenating spa retreat, or Mardi Gras in New Orleans. We're not talking a Thelma and Louise getaway, but sometimes it would be nice to just relax, read a good book, and have an uninterrupted conversation without hearing the words "Mommy, can you come and wipe my butt?" in the background.
