Momlogic's Julie: A trip to Vegas without the kids? I'm so there!

My hubby and I went to Vegas last weekend without our two children, ages 4 and 7. Not having someone depend on us for 48 hours was like hitting the jackpot in itself. (I will be eternally grateful to my BFF and her husband for taking them off our hands.) Here, the highlights:

Palazzo Resort - Las Vegas' newest hotel/casino did not disappoint. The room was bigger than my first apartment and had 3 TVs (one right next to the bathtub). Request a higher floor and you'll have a great view of the Treasure Island show.

Canyon Ranch Spa - A $35 day pass is a total bargain. I hit the steam room, sauna, and whirlpool for 2 hours and felt like a new woman. The cucumber slices were a nice touch!

Wynn Buffet - Sure, I'm on a diet, but an all-you-can-eat buffet is a must in Vegas. Right? This one at the opulent Wynn hotel featured all-you-can-drink champagne, too...which made gorging myself all the more fun. (Don't miss the spicy tuna rolls...yum.)

Jersey Boys - Even if you don't know who Frankie Valli is, you'll get into this amazing musical--one of the best I've ever seen. (Warning: You will likely be humming "Oh What a Night" for hours afterwards, however.)

40/40 Club - Jay Z's multimillion-dollar sports bar looked very cool, and I even bought a $25 gift certificate to the restaurant side on Restaurant.com for $5. But once we got there (10:30 p.m.), they were charging $50 cover charge per couple. Gulp. We passed this time.

We lost a couple hundred dollars on roulette and slots, but all in all had an amazing trip. Vegas, (no) baby, Vegas!
