It’s my kid’s favorite show. I’m not sure what to do

Whether they watch the show or not, this is something that parents need to talk to their kids about. We always complain that “sex is everywhere”, yet we don’t discuss the fact that teen pregnancy and abortions are happening all of the time because of it.

You should’nt let kids look up to celebrities in the first place. Celebrities are normal people too. They make the same mistakes as we do. No one is perfect. Beyonce’s sister got pregnant at the age of 16 or 17, but you did’nt see her face on every cover of a magazine.

I will definately let my kids watch zoey 101. Parents are actin like Jamie lynns pregnancy is such a burden on them. It makes them have to talk to their kids…shouldn’t you be talking to your kids about things like this anyway. Teen pregnancy is everywhere, she isn’t the first and wont be the last. Yes she is portrayed as a good clean cut girl…but as everyone knows or should know nobody is perfect, not even zoey. This can happen to a good girl to. Parents should already be talking to their kids about teen pregnancy, it shouldn’t take Jamie Lynn getting pregnant to make that happen. A lot of the teens that have no one to talk to about sex and teen pregnancy are usually the one that end up in trouble. People arent happy that she is going to take responsibility and have the baby. Would moms like it more if the top news story was that she is pregnant and going to abort the baby??? Try explaining that one to your kids…that would be hard. I think they could even go as far as writing it into the script but with a lesson to be learned…that teen pregnancy is hard and not as fun as it probably looks. You have to be careful and it can even happen to good girls. Maybe if kids learned early..pre-teen years..teen pregnancy would actual go down because the kids would be more informed.

Well I’m raising an 18 and 11 y/o girls and from what I’ve heard from both of them its a lot better than what they see at school everyday. My 11 y/o has has a girl in her grade that’s 12 that is pregnant. All this means is that parents are going to have start talking to their kids about sex.
