Children's books push politics on the not-ready-for-poll-time crowd.
We love books for kids that help parents bring up those hard-to-talk-about topics. Divorce, adoption, new babies— we don't know how we would get through parenthood without a little help from our literary friends. But the idea of pressing our own politcal agenda on tiny tykes seems a little demo-creepy. Check out the self-published "Why Mommy is a Democrat" and "Why Daddy is a Democrat" written by Jeremy Zilber.
Is it political brainwashing, or a case of never too young to rip on Republicans?

Oh my, this just seems wrong. As a mother of three I find it best not to impose three things on my children, religion, politics and sexual orientation! Let kids figure these things out as they mature and see what feels right for them not what we WANT them to think or feel.
