Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and her soccer-star husband, David, reportedly returned to England for Christmas with their three kids—but they weren’t too busy to post messages to their fans on their blog. "As the festive season is upon us, I want to wish everyone a very merry (and of course fashionable) Christmas and a Happy New Year," Victoria posted Friday. "My family and I wish you and yours a New Year of much health and happiness.”

Holiday Travelers Stranded after Airline Cancels Hundreds of Flights
Thousands of air travelers heading home after Christmas were stuck in airports after a weekend snowstorm caused Chicago-based United Airlines to cancel more than 250 flights. American Airlines canceled about 40 flights.
Two Mom-Related Terms Top This Year’s List of New Words
Two terms referring to moms have made it into the nation's vocabulary. “Maternal profiling” is defined as "employment discrimination against a woman who has, or will have, children," and a “mom job"—also known as a “mommy makeover”—is "a package of cosmetic surgery procedures that will reduce the visible effects of childbirth, like stretch marks or sagging."
Family Receives Holiday Cards from Heaven
An 88-year-old Ashland, Oregon, man who died in October surprised 34 friends and family members this holiday season after they received cards in his handwriting, with a return address of “Heaven.” Chet Fitch arranged to have the cards mailed in the event of his death. “I'll probably be seeing you (some sooner than you think)," he wrote. "Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.”
