One contestant shows emotion behind her dream.

Instead of focusing on the negatives from last night's premiere, we decided to focus on the positive. One hopeful who was given the golden ticket to Hollywood touched us. Angela Martin from Chicago got one step closer to being the American Idol last night. She's a Mom who has a young daughter who suffers from Rett Syndrome (RTT) which is a debilitating neurological disorder diagnosed almost exclusively in females. Children with RTT appear to develop normally until 6 to 18 months of age when they enter a period of regression, losing speech and motor skills. Before her audition in front of the judges, we got to meet Angela and her daughter, which brought tears to our eyes. It was refreshing to see someone pursuing the dream of being the American Idol not for fame, but to better her life and the life of her daughter.

I am unable to thank you adequately for the blogposts on your website. I know you put a lot of time and energy into these and truly hope you know how considerably I enjoy it. I hope I am able to do precisely the same for someone else someday.
