Spears arrives for hearing but won't enter the building.

Britney Spears arrived at the Los Angeles courthouse where her custody hearing is scheduled today, but did not enter. According to TMZ, Britney exited her car, told photographers, "Move back, I'm scared," and then got back into her car. This hearing is widely viewed as her last chance to state her case for visitation rights. Kevin Federline, who arrived at the courthouse this morning, was awarded sole legal and physical custody of their two sons after Britney refused to turn over her children to him on Jan. 3. Britney was subsequently hospitalized at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, but left a day later against medical advice. Britney’s no-show so far today means that Federline will maintain sole custody until their custody battle officially goes to trial in April. Britney’s meltdowns seem to happen in the wake of court hearings, and we dread hearing about another bizarre and self-destructive episode.
