The pop star's lawyers seek visitation rights in a therapeutic setting.

According to TMZ, Britney Spears' lawyers will go to court tomorrow and ask for Brit to have "monitored visitation in a therapeutic setting." We weren't sure what this meant and did some research to see what this kind of visit entails. According to Comprehensive Youth Services, a non-profit behavioral health agency that provides interventions and support services to families it means:

  • A licensed therapist supervises the visit

  • The therapist interacts with the family prior to, during, and after the visit and provides guidance on bonding and nurturing techniques, child development, and typical child behaviors.

  • The therapist makes sure the guidelines set by the court are followed, and submits progress reports and recommendations.

This seems like a positive step in the right direction for Britney, who has been facing ongoing troubles with her visitation rights and speculation about her mental well-being. She's been ordered numerous times to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and has yet to comply. K Fed's lawyer may fight the request for the monitored visits and push for the psychiatric evaluation. Both parties are due in court tomorrow to settle the situation.

IF Brit has a true mental illness then K-rap should want her to get the help and therefore not object to and infact push for the court to allow these visits knowing that help for Brit is there. IF a person has bi-polar they will never or almost never get help on their own. So if K-rap truly wants to raise the kids with participation from Brit then he will go along with this plan. If he is trying to get the kids with child support he will reject the plan. Hopefully the judge understands that if she has a mental illness this is the only way she is going to get help. And I do not believe that Britney has a mental problem other than post partum depression heightened by K-raps antics.
