Video Casts Doubt on Meter Reader?

Now another equally bizarre twist:
According to sources, a private investigator working for Cindy and George Anthony says he videotaped the area where Caylee's remains were found one month before and found no evidence of the toddler's remains.
Sgt. Carlos Padilla of the Orange County Sheriffs Office told momlogic that investigators haven't seen the footage, allegedly taken by private investigator Jim Hoover, because "Hoover was shopping the tape around to media" rather than bringing it directly to authorities. "It's mind boggling when you have numerous people involved in this [case] and you have to wonder what's their intention," laments Padilla.
If the footage, reportedly time-stamped in November, does document the wooded area as evidence-free, how did Kronk manage to find the remains in December? Is it possible the meter reader has some connection to Casey Anthony? Some are theorizing that Casey's brother Lee Anthony might have passed on information from Casey to Kronk. Recently, it's been rumored Lee may be charged with obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting Casey.
As far as police are concerned, Padilla says the investigators and the F.B.I. believe Kronk has no ties to the Anthonys, calling him a "credible" witness. Padilla even sites evidence of Kronk's altruistic behavior when he failed to collect the reward money offered by Crimeline for information leading to the find. At first, says Padilla, Kronk was told he wasn't qualified to collect the reward because he called in the last tip to 911 rather than Crimeline. "He didn't say it was unfair. He just mentioned it to a friend who looked into it for him." Kronk did eventually collect the $5,000 dollar reward.
Be prepared for more surprises in a case that Padilla says has been "Not normal from the get go. It's been one thing after another. This is not a typical case."

I seriously doubt Kronk has any connection to Casey, but his actions are suspicious.. I’m thinking he found the remains in Aug. when he called in his first tip but was scared he’d be implicated somehow. When the sheriff’s office tells him to call the tipline during the second call, Kronk is weirdly concerned about remaining anonymous— “Not if they find a freakin’ body”— as if he knew something already. Seeing how the police didn’t respond [they eventually did but Kronk left the scene]; he decided to make the definitive discovery on the fourth and final call.
As for the videotape of the area “time-stamped November” from a PI who at the time was employed by the Anthonys is most likely inadmissible— just another red herring to redirect the focus away from the Anthonys and their little Bad Seed.
What I don’t understand is why were the PIs out there videotaping anyway when their clients (the Anthony’s were looking for a live Caylee and said their PIs were too). So why would they be videotaping a wooded area looking for a live child…this makes no sense. Someone had to tell them to look for a body and not a live child. This all stinks to high heaven, but in the end I truly hope the truth will be revealed when the rest of the foresencis tests are revealed. I think these people are just trying to put up a smoke screen to create reasonable doubt…but in my mind, I don’t see how anyone can find any reasonable doubt in this case when you factor in that Casey waited 31 days to even report Caylee missing in the beginning and may not have done it then if Cindy had not gone and dragged her out of boyfriend’s appt on 7/15…how do they think they can possibly put a smoke screen around that fact and to me, that fact alone implies that Casey is guilty as sin!!!!
Sheller, I know !! that conversation between Casey and Lee is oh so apparent. I mean , no one talks that way regularly. Im sure thats one of the reasons Lee might be charged, If we pick up on the conversation being code, Im sure L.E. has also and has probably had some expert on that stuff to verify it. who the hell knows anymore, this case is like a fricking soap opera. And as far as the P.I out there video taping that exact area (to conveinent), I wonder if thats the only area he happened to video tape. They should ask him how many other areas he searched and also tape, (I have a feeling that was the only one) imagine that. Buts whats really strange is if the meter reader called in August (3 times), I know L.E. had to have gone out there, they wouldn’t have just ignored the calls. So why didn’t they find anything then? And then the same meter reader calls again and they find Caylees remains. There is something going on. I quess I’ll have to tune in tomarrow to “As Casey continues to lie”
The explanation has been in the news - reported numerous times: The area where the body was found floods all the time. When the body was first discovered, there was no water. Afterwards, with the heavy rains and hurricane season, the area became flooded and swampy making it very difficult to see a black garbage bag, not to mention walk around and search. The area had been searched, unsuccessfully, due to the water levels. If you’ve ever lived in Florida, you would understand how that could happen, as unfortunate as it is.
Another thought. Are we to believe that Mr. Kronk, called in the reports in August and since nobody checked it out, he picked up the body and took it with him then decided to bring it back in December? That sucker must have worked really hard to go out and scatter the little bones, bury them and then call in the report again. My stars, how ridiculous! Of course they are trying to throw suspicion on anything or anybody they can here. This is a play by Baez and his team of crooks. Otherwise why would this be getting so sick? He is a fix it lawyer, bottom line. Lets just hope this is one he can’t fix to the order of his client. Old OJ might have gotten off with this last caper if Baez had been his defense, he could have said OJ’s body double committed the breakin. Or he was still distraught from having his wife killed that he just did not know right from wrong and we should all be sorry for him. Sure!!!
I ab-solutely believe the PI can happened to videotape in Nov. the EXACT spot where Caylee’s body was dumped and there was nothing there.
I also believe Zenaida is the Tooth Fairy and that Caylee is still alive.
The defense will try to destroy ANYONE who dares suggest Casey was less than the perfect mother who is just a persecuted victim.
LMAO @ The tooth fairy remark. God Bless Angel Caylee Anthony.
Sheller, I’ve heard all the conversations at one time but I never picked up on the one you write about. Very interesting. I was hoping Lee had nothing to do with all this because after all it was his niece! I’m sure the prosecution will use this chilling conversation. I hope everyone involved in this tragic case will pay, pay, pay!! Thanks for drawing my attention to this Sheller.
I don’t have any suspicions against Mr. Kronk. In my opinion, people are judging Mr. Kronk by how he looks. If he were a clean cut white collar worker, I don’t think anyone would have any doubt about him.
I think the area the PI videotaped is the area childhood friend Kiomarie told LE about, which Casey and others referred to as “The Zone.” Caylee’s remains were found nearby, but not in the exact area referred to as “The Zone.” Either way, the defense is just trying to cast doubt in the potential jury pool, but no one other than Casey herself threw Caylee away at that exact location in June 2008.
I STILL want to know who Caylee’s father was. I don’t believe he was killed in an auto accident. He has not come forward, so for some reason it remains a ‘secret’. I think it is a ‘family’ secret. I feel it in my gut.
This just keeps getting stranger and stranger.
I cannot speak for everyone here, but I think we are all ignoring the obvious on some points. Leonard the cowboy bounty hunter needs to go ahead and take that lie detector test he’s been promising to take, quit changing his story very five minutes to suit the media, make some direct eye contact during his ad nauseam interviews, and stop all the grandstanding already. He, among others, is HURTING this case. We ALL know who killed that innocent angel, and the people like him “stepping up to the plate” to offer up their so called “facts” need to go look up “obstruction of justice” again before they do so. The Orange County investigators had it right the first time when they stated, quite simply, to Casey, “Everything you’ve told us is a lie.” I have sympathy for the grandparents [at this time], but God help them if they helped her in any way. After visiting that crime scene personally, as many of you posting here probably have as well, I cannot begin to tell you the heartstrings that were pulled and broken that day. God bless little Caylee, but may God have very little mercy on Casey for doing such a thing.
It seems that the guy who video taped the area while working for the Anthony family investigator has admitted to the FBI that he was told that Caylee was dead and somewhere in that area!!! It’s not at all clear that he went to the exact spot where the body was found, or rather in the general area and missed the body. Also, could the bag have moved after the flooding you all have talked about?! If the guy is telling the truth, there is NO way I believe that Cindy and George didn’t know what was happening. The two guys were investigating on their behalf, not Casey’s. So, now we know why they need immunity. I can no longer give the Grandparents sympathy or benefit of the doubt if it indeed turns out that their investigators were looking for Caylee’s body in the approximate location where it was found. Also, I too found Casey and Lee’s discussion on the weird side. It did seem they were talking in a code that only they understood. I just pray that the investigators for the state of FL do a SOLID job. That they look for the truth — no matter where it leads — and that they are thorough. Question? WHO is paying for this expensive forensics team and the lawyers? How can Casey afford that kind of defense? I hope that the innocent and wronged Zenaida Gonzalez gets a little of the cash that Casey Anthony obviously is getting from somewhere (again, how else does she afford all those renowned experts!).
NJfromLA,I agree with you. I believe that Lee found Caylee’s body based on Casey’s cryptic clues as pointed out by Sheller. I believe that Lee told the PI Casey, Cindy and George where Caylee’s body was located and the two PIs went to videotape it. The phony Orlando Mall picture of an alive Caylee was supposedly taken Nov. 16 by the PI, the day after he was in the woods looking at Caylee’s dead body. I think that photograph in the Orlando Mall was a digitally enhanced picture of a younger Caylee. The PI and Cindy and George knew Caylee was dead and rotting in the woods and started the media blitz on the Today Show and Larry King claiming the photo meant Caylee was alive and well to try to convince the public Caylee was alive and create a diversion to keep searchers from finding Caylee’s body. I think it is dispicable and shows Cindy and George no longer care about their granddaughter and just want to save the sorry behind of their murdering daughter. Look how Cindy and George are coldly allowing Caylee’s body to remain in a cardboard box while the defense plays their games. Nancy Grace reported that the Anthonys were paid over $200,000 by ABC and NBC for pictures of Caylee and most of that money was given to Baez for Casey’s defense.
Fix your date, this IS 2009.
I found some interesting information out…
There is a map and public listing that shows 4701 Hopespring Road and 4709 Hopespring Road - one is in the name of Zenaida and the other is in the name of Gonzalez. If you draw a straight line between the two homes, it points to the location where Caylee was found. This was what Casey was telling everyone - there was no Nanny - it was an address. She is close to home. Very interesting page.
I’M JUST WANTING TO KNOW IF THE HOUSE NEXT TO THE WOODED AREA HAD BEEN VANCANT FOR OVER A YEAR,THEN WHY HAS THERE BEEN A METERMAN GOING THERE?
THANK YOU
why is everyone focussing on Kronk. he wanted to make sure he would get the reward, which is hard when a damn cop is too busy not doing his job. this man had to call 3 times before anyone bothered to listen to him. wouldn’t you want the reward money. these lawyers are profiting from Caylee and the whole anthony clann. they sound like a fricken cult already, KronK hang in there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Listen to Lee’s visit with Casey in jail on July 28th. Their code talk is pretty transparent if you listen a couple times. In this conversation, Casey admits she did it alone, the body was placed during the day, she could pin it on someone else with a little “attention”, and that Lee should look “in places that are familiar to us, to our family, that I took pictures of for mom, and in eastern locations”. When he asks should I look where a friend of yours might know something about, Casey says, “that would be right on the money”. I think they videoed exactly where she said. Casey seems almost giddy when she knows he’s understood. At the end of the conversation, Lee says, all this stress you’ve been carrying, maybe someone else can carry it for a while. You know you can trust that I’ll do what’s best for the family. IT IS ALL THERE, just listen.
