When Moms Attack....

Was this mom protecting her son, committing assault, or both?

Like most Moms, we get absolutely insane with rage when another kid shoves, hits, or bullies our child. But we just read about one mother who took that feeling way, way too far. Monica Gonzales, 37, actually helped lead a baseball bat attack on the 14-year-old boy who had shoved her 12-year-old son. Whoa. And now she's in the Bexar County Jail on charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to KSAT .

While we understand the driving force to protect our cubs, most of us only think about seeking revenge—we don't actually do it! Has anyone ever bullied or hurt your child, and did mental images of harming that kid pop into your head? (Be honest...we won't judge.) What happened? Comment below...

This woman is insane!!!! I might want to do it but I never would (or at least I think I wouldn’t).

agree with laura—this mother obviously has serious problems. i will admit though that there have been times i’ve definitely yelled at other people’s kids at the playground for bullying my child.

I have twin daughters (14) and the way some of girls behaved in middle school blew my mind. Some of them would include one of my daughters, but not the other or both would be invited over and one would be ignored completely, all within sight of the parents and nothing was said. I would never let my girls treat anyone like that in my presence. I’m not a fan of one particular girl, she’s just mean and nasty and sexually active. My daughters tell me stories(that she’s told them) that would make your hair curl. I make sure any time they spend together is very limited. Her mother is a hard working mom but totally has the blinders on when it comes to her daughter. My kids are certainly not perfect and have had their moments but some behaviors will not be tolerated. I have wanted to say something to the mom about the situation but we stay mostly away, it’s not worth the aggravation. Some of these kids have way too much time unsupervised.
