UPDATE: TMZ has been contacted by a rep from Heath's family. The cops told the family Heath's death was accidental and there is no evidence to support the buzz that he may have committed suicide. It's also being reported he was sick with pneumonia when he passed.
UPDATE: TMZ confirms that pills were found strewn around Ledger's bed.
4:53 p.m. BREAKING NEWS: TMZ is reporting the Hollywood star and dad's body was found this afternoon.
Oscar nominee Heath Ledger, father of a 2-year-old Matilda Rose and ex-fiance of actress Michelle Williams - whom he met on the set of Brokeback Mountain - was discovered in his Soho home by a housekeeper.
Recently in an interview to WJW FOX in Cleveland he said, "I feel good about dying because I feel alive through her," referring to his daughter.
Friend Nicole Kidman made a statement to Extra. “What a tragedy. My heart goes out to his family.”
