Mom Has PA's First Baby of New Year....AGAIN!

Becky Armstrong delivers hospital's first baby of the new year for the second year in a row.
On Jan. 1, 2007, Becky delivered her first daughter, Kaden, at 1:45 a.m. at Gettysburg Hospital. Shortly after, Becky became pregnant again. To the whole family's surprise, Becky had her second child 13 days early this week, on Jan. 1, also very early in the a.m. Mom•Logic caught up with the lucky new Mom to two girls this week for an exclusive interview.
Mom•Logic: Did you know you were going to go in early again?
Becky: No, I had no idea. My family and people joked about it, but I never thought it would happen.
ML: So, did you start having contractions on New Year’s Eve?
Becky: No, I was having them off and on for about a
week or two. They weren’t actual labor pains, they were Braxton Hicks—false labor pains.
ML: What was going through your mind in regard to having two babies born on not only the same day, but New Year’s Day?
Becky: I was just shocked, thinking, oh my gosh, what am I going to do? My kids are going to share the same birthday. It’s actually pretty cool I think—we can celebrate with one big birthday party, instead of having it a couple weeks apart.
ML: What has the reaction been with family and friends?
Becky: Everyone is excited and shocked about it, we can’t believe it was possible and that it happened that way. Everyone keeps asking me if I am going to have another one next year…
ML: We were just going to ask you… Are you?
Becky: No, absolutely not! Two is a challenge, let alone another one!
