Mom Lied So Daughter Could Win "Hannah Montana" Tickets
In order to win sold-out "Hannah Montana" concert tickets, a Texas mother helped her 6-year-old daughter write a fake essay saying that the child's father died overseas in Iraq. After learning that the girl's father is alive and not even in the military, the contest's sponsor, Club Libby Lu, revoked the prize and awarded the tickets to another contestant.

First U.S. Baby Born in 2008
Gabrio Alan Perez from Santa Rita, Guam, has made history for being the first baby born on American soil in 2008. His 31-year-old mom, Cynthia Quinata, popped him out at 12:01 a.m. after only two pushes. The newborn--who weighed eight pounds, six ounces--is her seventh child. Quinata and Gabrio's 36-year-old dad, Alan Perez, received gifts totaling more than $4,000 from companies across Guam, including two $1,000 saving bonds, free hotel rooms, and food. Dr. Thomas Shieh, who helped bring Gabrio into this world, has delivered every New Year's baby since 2000.

Candidates' Last Day to Campaign before Iowa Caucuses
Tomorrow, what's already being touted as the longest and most expensive presidential race in American history will kick off with the Iowa caucuses; an estimated 200,000 voters are expected to turn out. A Des Moines Register poll found that Barack Obama was the choice of 32 percent of likely Democratic caucusgoers; Hillary Clinton and John Edwards held steady at 25 and 24 percent, respectively. On the GOP side, Mike Huckabee led with 32 percent over Mitt Romney at 26 percent and John McCain at 13 percent.

Belly Dancing Is Latest Trend in Labor

Expectant moms are taking belly-dancing classes instead of Lamaze--and the movements are helping them in the delivery room. Natural-birth expert Dr. Elizabeth Alleman says that she encourages women "to move their bodies in ways that help bring flexibility to their pelvis during early labor and actually sometimes during the pushing stage."

Viagra-Like Drug Being Tested for Women
A testosterone-laden ointment called LibiGel, intended to boost the libido of women who have lost interest in sex, is being tested at the University of Virginia. Researchers are optimistic that the medication will help women suffering from hypoactive sexual desire disorder, a condition believed to affect a third of American women.
