For the past week, democratic presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have been sparring over remarks that Senator Clinton made about the Civil Rights Act. Yesterday, Senator Clinton clarified her comments when she sat down with Tyra Banks for an interview scheduled to air Friday. Clinton told reporters earlier in the day, “Both Senator Obama and I know that we are where we are today because of leaders like Dr. King and generations of men and women like all of you.”

The trial, which was conducted by Merck and Schering-Plough, ended in April 2006; the companies failed to report their findings until yesterday. The conclusion: the drug Zetia may actually contribute to plaque formation in the arteries.

Actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, claim that Cedars-Sinai Medical Center kept them in the dark for hours after their newborn twins were mistakenly given 1,000 times the recommended dose of the blood thinner Heparin. The 53-year-old actor told the Los Angeles Times, "Our kids could have been dying, and we wouldn't have been able to come down to the hospital to say goodbye."

French president Nicolas Sarkozy has reportedly married his supermodel girlfriend, Carla Bruni, in a secret ceremony. The couple met less than two months ago at a friend’s dinner party. A spokesman for the 52-year-old president has declined to comment on rumors that Sarkozy and his 40-year-old bride are expecting.
