NYPD: Ledger’s Masseuse Called Mary-Kate Instead of 911
Police say that the massage therapist who found Heath Ledger’s lifeless body called actress Mary-Kate Olsen three times within a nine-minute period before dialing 911 for help. After paramedics arrived, the masseuse called the former Full House star a fourth time. According to the NY Post, the cops are planning to interview the Olsen twin—although it’s not clear whether she’ll fly to New York City or be interviewed over the phone.

Clinton, McCain Win New York Times Endorsements
The New York Times has endorsed Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator John McCain to represent their parties in the race for the White House. The paper's editorial board said that Clinton has the experience to be president, but called upon her to change the tone of her campaign. They also said that John McCain is the only candidate on the Republican side who could “end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringe.” (What is the "George Bush style of governing," anyway? Inquiring moms want to know.)

Marine Murder Suspect Indicted
Corporal Cesar Laurean, the main suspect in the murder of 20-year-old Lance Corporal Maria Lauterbach and her unborn child, was indicted yesterday for first-degree murder. Authorities believe that Laurean has fled to his native Mexico. The North Carolina prosecutor isn't seeking the death penalty in the case, because Mexico won't send fugitives back to the United States if they could face execution.

It has long been said that the birth-control pill can protect women against ovarian cancer. Now a new study has determined that the pill can protect women for up to 30 years after they stop taking it. British researchers say that the pill has prevented 100,000 ovarian-cancer deaths worldwide, that it has kept 200,000 women from developing the disease, and that the longer women stay on the pill, the lower their risk of developing the disease is. Now if they could just figure out a way to keep us from feeling permanently bloated when we're on the pill....

Are Females Truly Out of This World?
Recent photos taken by a NASA robot have people wondering whether there is really life on Mars. Conspiracy theories regarding the photo are making their way around the Internet. Many people feel that the photo depicts a female figure, although astronomers suggest that the image simply shows a wind-carved rock formation. We say it's a sign that the Martians are endorsing Hillary Clinton.
