Teens are ditching their coats and literally freezing to be cool. Just how far will kids go to rebel?

It's the sensation that's sweeping the nation, kids trying desperately to be cool are ditching their coats. The Today show reported that kids in a Chicago suburb wouldn't be caught dead bundled up like those tragically uncool adults—they preferred wearing t-shirts and hoodies, even in the snow. Are kids running out of ways to rebel?! When kids have scraped the bottom of the rebellion barrel this might become a typical conversation:

Dad: Where do you think you’re going?
Son: Out.

Son crawls out of the house on his hands and knees.

Dad: Use your legs, damn it! We’re upright people!
Son: Get off my back, old man! Whether I want to be a bi-ped is my choice. I’m not like you! I'll NEVER be like you!!!!

It probably won't come to that, at least we hope not. But for now, should a teen trend include coming down with pneumonia?

This doesnt surprise me. When I was in high school I use to get sick often because I didnt want to wear heavy coats even though it was frigid cold outside. Unfortunately many New York City Public schools are more like Fashion shows than anything else. Teens come to school trying to show off their clothes and styles. Hats are also unpopular because they give you hat hair and that a fashion NO-NO.
