One Mom's Mom•Logic: The last thing I need on a sick day is your judgement.

sahmonster.jpg

"I dragged my butt (and stomach flu) out of bed and got the kids off to school. While walking them down the hall, hoping I can keep it together long enough to get them to their respective classes, there you were...

You: "Hey! You're not dressed for work today!"
Me: "Nope. No work today."
You: "Wow, a day offffffffffffffff!"

It wasn't what you said but how you said it. You may as well have said "Wow, you chose to spend time with your kids?"

Let me tell you something, perfect Mom... I did the stay at home thing. I do the working thing now. I am a much more patient, playful and present Mom when I spend some of my time working. So, when you're looking at your watch at 3 p.m. hoping your little creatures will fall asleep early, I'll be on my way home excited to play with my kids. Stop judging me."

Wow! How about an article about the working momster??? You know the one who makes you feel like your kids will be stupid for not going to daycare or preschool. The working momster who thinks that she’s the only one who know what tired is, because she “worked” today. But hey why don’t you think about it when you get to actually rest on your sick day!

Sounds like someone needs a nap. I didn’t read that this woman “rested” on her sick day. I know I am a working mom and sick days are actually harder than work. we are all tired no matter sah or working.

People can be idiots no matter where they spend their days.

My daughter is 3. When I’m sick it’s almost easier to go to work than to stay home. For all those moms who want to sit on their high horses and judge other moms who either have jobs or don’t. It is hard and excellent either way. Take that energy and put it into your own families, its better spent and more rewarding.

In related news, Tiger Woods always gives 110 percent. That is why he gave 100 percent to his wife and still had 10 percent left over for his alleged mistress.
