Oprah sits down for a heartbreaking interview with Beth Holloway, mother of missing Aruba teen Natalee Holloway.
After 2 1/2 years of intense investigations, police announced that the case for Beth’s daughter Natalee had been closed. How could any mother ever be at peace knowing their child is missing and that justice has not been served? Beth tries not to obsess about finding Natalee alive. “I don’t think that’s very healthy for your spirit, but it is something I fantasize about,” Beth says.
As for coping with Natalee’s disappearance, Beth thinks about her daughter daily. “It’s as if I have to wake up every morning and make that conscious decision whether I want to be better or positive. I do want to keep being positive and look toward the future and see what we can do for others,” Beth says. For more on Beth's story read her book, Loving Natalee: A Mother's Testament of Hope and Faith.
