Diddy dresses J.Lo's twins?: Sean "Diddy" Combs had nothing but nice things to say about his ex, Jennifer Lopez, when approached by People on Oscar's red carpet. "I'm going to send her some Sean John baby clothes." Is getting a baby gift from an ex sweet or just weird?

Get to work, Mom: This morning's Today show featured a woman who said stay-at-home Moms can still make six-figure salaries. Could this be the end of the Mommy Wars, or an idea too good to be true?

End of a marriage--a reason to party?: Vegas seems to be the place to be when celebrating a divorce. Celebrities have started a new divorce party trend and it's catching on quick. Wonder if couples will hit Sin City for drive-thru divorces soon enough...

Kids too young to see Holocaust images?: Kids in 5th grade are being taught about the Holocaust, and it's creating quite a controversy. Should schools use images of tragic events in history to teach tolerance, or is it too traumatizing to little ones?

I’m curious about the stay-at-home moms making six-figure salaries. I missed the story (because I was at work). It just makes me wonder how they make the money. If they are working from home, yes, they are at home, but are they really “present” with their children? Wouldn’t they just be distracted and not focused on the child? And wouldn’t that just completely defeat the purpose of staying at home with the kids?

Honestly, I choose to work, and I enjoy my time at home because my mind is not cluttered with “work stuff.” As tempting as it would be to work from home, I can’t imagine that my child would appreciate being ignored when I was in the middle of trying to meet a deadline or make a business call.

Those are my thoughts… did anyone actually catch the story or know where I can see it?

1. The jobs for SAHMs link is broken.

2. I’m not sure how I feel yet about showing children images of the Holocaust. It’s one thing to shield your kids from Rambo and Grand Theft Auto, but the Holocaust was an actual historical event. Showing your kids what people are capable of is integral for them to have a realistic view of life. But at the same time, I’m not so confident that 10 year-olds could grasp the seriousness of the Holocaust either.
