One Mom adds her perspective on Britney and Kevin.
When we ran the story "How Britney Spears Can Help Moms," it sparked controversy. Mom Sandy had this to say:
"The article in question did not suggest that a mother intentionally brings up the subject of Britney Spears and her troubles, it simply offers a solution IF one's child is the one to bring it up/ask questions. Anywho, this
is a great approach in the event one's child inquires about Britney. IMO, this article offers some great advice. I suffered from severe post-partum depression and I had a hard time reaching out at first. I hope Britney finds her way back to a stable and happy life. I also hope that Kevin Federline takes some responsibility for her mental anguish as well. I think it’s a gross misjudgement that he is being looked at by some as father of the year. (Eyes roll.)"

What are you talking about? You say that you suffer from depression and I feel for you. I also suffer from mental illness - generalized anxiety disorder. But, you clearly have not been educated very well about mental illness. It isn’t caused by other people. She is being treated for psychosis. Look it up. Her ex-husband didn’t give this to her. In fact, I doubt of her family really knew what was going with her. I work with family members of people with serious mental illness like schizophrenia and bipolar. It is far from easy. It is truly hell for them.
I think that he really, truely is a good father and has done nothing for us to speculate otherwise. Now husband of the year that might be another story, when he and Brit were together he wasnt around much, leaving her at home with the babies. And I think that was just because suddenly he had alot of money and didnt know how to control himself with it. He was shot into celeb status and it went a little far. His behavior was wrong and he made mistakes which everyone does especially being young. But I do believe he does truely care for his kids and is a good father, I also believe he cares about Britney but has no idea how to help her. His main priority now as with any parent is to make sure his sons are safe, happy, and healthy.
I think it’s important to remember that we don’t know Britney and K-Fed personally. Thus, we don’t know what their relationship was like - we only know what the media made it LOOK like. No one has any right to say who, if anything, caused Britney’s meltdown. We don’t know what kind of father/husband K-Fed is. Just as we don’t know what kind of mother/wife Britney is. All we can do is pray that those little boys are being taken care of and that their mother gets the help she needs.
To Daniee :A woman suffering from post partum depression can be made much worse by abuse….and even become a psychotic disorder. K-Fed was out partying on her money with other woman while he was married to Brit. That is enough to depress the best of us never mind someone suffering PPD. Her lawyers managed to keep the pre-nupt in check which limited his alimony and ended Nov 2007. K-fed was being told by his lawyer that keeping 50/50 custody would be difficult and that child support would end unless he could prove Brit to be an unfit Mother….and so Sam arrived in Brit’s life October 2007…..began drugging her with antipsychotic meds and cutting her phone lines and removing the chargers for her cell phones….remember in court there were days when her lawyer was telling the judge that she had a phone problem….his name is Sam and he was sent by K-Fed. Hopefully we will see both K-Fed and Sam go to jail soon!!
Are you kidding…..K-Fed the guy that spent most days of their marriage partying with other women in Vegas on Brit’s money……never saw him with the kids. He spent 2 years setting up a divorce and then I believe hired Sam last Oct 2007 when the custody battle was heating up coz any lawyer would have told K-Fed that he would never get any custody unless he could prove Brit unfit…and Sam went to work cutting phone lines….hiding chargers…causing Brit to miss calls for her random drug tests…..then hiding her little dog so she would cry and he could then produce the dog like he was her savior…..K-Fed is crap and he and Sam should be going to jail.
He isn’t exactly a winner but he’s better than Brit.
