According to Us Weekly, 6-year-old Maddox walked away with this bizarre souvenir after a trip to the movies. When Maddox picked out the gum, mom Angie laughed and bought it.

Chew on this...is this a Mom with a sense of humor or this whole thing a little creepy?

I’d go for creepy.

as long as he was the one who picked it out, wouldn’t not buying it make a bigger statement than buying it? shouldn’t we encourage kids to love their bodies? I’m not saying throw the stuff at them, but if they want to buy it why would you make a big deal about it?

that wouldn’t be my choice for a six year old…Maddox has plenty of time to love his penis when he gets older.

I’m with LovingLillia… if he picked it out, what’s the problem? Would you have reacted differently had the word been eyes, nose, ears, heart, brain, feet or almost any other body part? Sometimes the best way to handle an awkward situation is with a sense of humor, a laugh and going on about your business rather than making an issue of it. If you make a big deal out of a body part… what are you really telling your kids?

Um, what kind of movie theater sells “I (heart) My Penis” gum? This has to be some kind of joke story…

he has a penis, so whats the big deal!

Angie seems like a down to earth mom who cares for her kids, which is more than I can say about most celeb parents.

I think that it’s not only cute and funny, but every child should love all parts of thier body. Think about poor Gweneth Paltrow’s baby named, “Apple”. Now that’s just not nice to have to go through your life being named after a fruit.

i think it’s fine. who cares, there’s nothing wrong with loving all part of your body at any age.
