Britney sues Dad: The troubled star's father maintains control over his daughter's legal and financial affairs, while her brother Bryan manages her finances, but Brit is striking back. Spears filed a lawsuit against her pop yesterday, claiming her civil rights are being violated.

Sharp metal object found in Valentine's Day Candy: The importer of the Pokemon Valentine Cards and Pops have voluntarily pulled the product off thousands of store shelves nationwide after metal objects, including what appears to be a staple and piece of a razor blade, were found baked inside at least two of the pops. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Extra pounds increase cancer risk: A study out today in the journal Lancet finds a link between being overweight and developing various forms of cancer. Overweight patients may be more susceptible to developing breast, colon, thyroid or kidney cancer, among others. Yet another reason to go on a diet.

5-year-old boy saves choking mom's life: A kindergartener is being hailed a hero for dialing 911 after his mom choked on a nacho chip. Rescuers arrived and dislodged the chip by using the Heimlich maneuver.
