National Eating Disorder Week spotlights the need for Moms to be aware of the symptoms.
As many as 10 million females suffer from eating disorders in the U.S., and more than half of teenage girls use unhealthy weight control behaviors, according to the National Eating Disorders Association. Because of the secretiveness and shame associated with anorexia and bulimia, they often go undetected and untreated. We sat down with Susan, and her daughter, Christine, for a first-person account of teenage anorexia.

i go to school with christine everyday and had no idea what she went through. after watching a show today on anorexia/bulimia i saw how hard it can be to beat this kind of disease. she beat it, and so can all of you! good job girl.. everyones proud of you!
