My Valentine's Day Threesome?
Mom•Logic staffer Andrea writes: There's another woman in my husband's life--Our 2-year-old daughter.

It's textbook stuff: When one half of a couple is too wrapped up in their work, the other will find comfort in the arms of another. Because my job has kept me very busy lately, my husband has been playing the role of stay-at-home Dad, and he and our daughter have fallen in love to the exclusion of everyone else. This includes me.
I have become the third wheel--as useless as a babywipe warmer--and it's starting to get lonely. All day long I think about coming home to see her. When I finally make it through the door, I scoop her into my arms only to hear her shriek, "I want Daaaaaadddy!!!" and desperately wriggle out of my grasp. The other day I had to hold back tears when, while still in my arms, she latched onto my husband 's neck like it was a life preserver saving her from drowning. Or, at least that's how it felt. You could tell my husband felt bad for me, but at the same time, I could see how much he relished her affection.
Hey, I'm not really the jealous type...no wait, I AM the jealous type. And this little love triangle has started to wear on my self-esteem. How pathetic is it for a grown woman to go down on her hands and knees to coax a todder to hug her by pleading, "What's the matter? Don't you love Mommy anymore?"
Is this what's in store for me? Watching my husband and daughter make goo-goo eyes at each other for the rest of my life--or should I just try for a boy so I can get some companionship, too?
