Senator John McCain and wife Cindy respond to new allegations.
At a press conference this morning, the McCains spoke with reporters about the New York Times article that alleges an inappropriate relationship between Senator John McCain and a Washington lobbyist named Vicki Iseman. The Senator denies that he ever had an affair with Ms. Isemen, and says he is "very disappointed in the New York Times piece." Senator McCain's wife of 27 years, Cindy, also spoke out.
What do you think about this brewing scandal? Did he or didn't he?

What is it about politicians and infidelity? Is there a single candidate out there who has kept it in his pants?

Monica Lewinsky Part 2. NY times endorsed McCain, so my bet is that this is true.

I don’t think McCain had an affair with that woman. Consider the source and timing of the article. All seems very suspect to me. And if he did, it wouldn’t change my vote—I’m still voting for him in November.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was true. Presidents have been cheating on their wives since 1776. Even Jefferson was a baby daddy.

I don’t think it’s fair for people to automatically ASSUME he had an affair. Everyone knows what happens when you assume things. Personally, I agree with Michelle - even if he had an affair, it doesn’t change my opinion of him as a politician.
