Super-BORE Sunday
Saturday, February 2, 2008
Options for Moms less than enthused about the biggest day in football.
While some of us around the office have already picked out the face paints for Sunday's big pigskin match-up, others couldn't be more bored with the prospect of sitting in front of the TV while the rest of the family (OK, husbands) yell and scream while eating mass quantities of junk food.
| What else is there to do? Shop, for one. Malls, grocery stores, and furniture stores are practically empty on Superbowl Sunday, according to one Mom. Another suggests hitting an amusement park. While Disney declined to comment on attendance on Superbowl Sunday, a Mom's past experience shows that some amusement parks like Six Flags are relatively easy to breeze on through. It's also a great time to drive back from a weekend getaway, more people watching the game means less on the freeway. And, did you know that a lot of jewelry |
stores have sales that day? Your man might be feeling generous considering he'll be spending a big chunk of the day taking over the family room.
What will you do?
