The political pundits are saying that Super Tuesday basically solved nothing last night, but here's what Moms need to know.

Cutting through the spin of last night's election...

Democrats
Many say Hillary and Obama are in a dead heat for the nomination after last night. But some say Hillary Clinton's victory in California is hugely significant. Barack Obama won more states than Clinton--he won 13, she won 8--but Obama's were smaller states with less delegates. If Obama had pulled off a victory in California, Hillary's chances in the race would be questioned. But now Hillary is really in the game. As first Lady Maria Shriver said at an Obama rally this weekend: "As California goes, so goes the nation." Only time will tell ...

Republicans
John McCain has a commanding lead in the Republican race. Last night, McCain won 9 states; Romney 7; and Huckabee, 5. But none of the candidates have enough delegates to secure the nomination quite yet. Most were surprised Huckabee won as many states as he did, which was a blow to the Romney campaign. But Romney assured supporters late Tuesday he would "keep on battling...all the way to the convention." Again, only time will tell ... Got a prediction? Comment below.
