Happy Valentines Day!!!! I have been making valentines today and I don’t know how to get one to Ellen. Can you receive pictures?
A day filled with love,

happy early valentines day

You should add, “P.S. I want a divorce” because after the shafting the husband gets here, that’s pretty much what this V-day card will lead to.

Jimmy, How is this “shafting” her husband? Just because this woman wants to have one day of rest and relaxation for Valentine’s Day she’s not a good wife?
We could all use a rest, pal. Or is your wife not allowed to have one?

Jimmy Ching February 13, 2008, 8:43 PM

My wife gets plenty of days of rest. As do I. However, if I decided to take a “rest” on Valentine’s Day or, say, my wife’s Birthday or some other important holiday, I would be considered your typical husband. Bothers me to see lots of nagging about men on these sites. Nag. Nag. Nag. Likewise, it bothers me when you hear men nagging about the wife in this fashion. Why bother getting married? Just a commentary that’s all. Sorry if I hit a chord or pushed a button.

If Valentines Day was the end-all-be-all of my marriage, I would be worried about my marriage. If that’s the one day a mom can get a little rest, you go girl!
I don’t think there was any “nagging” going on. Does your wife know you’re trolling mommy sites?

I’m guessing it’s supposed to be a mom’s fantasy.

RK February 14, 2008, 2:24 PM

Hey, after all that she should give the hubby a break and have sex with him. It’s good for their marriage anyway, and since she’ll be so relaxed it shouldn’t be difficult to get in the mood! :)

Jimmy Ching February 14, 2008, 2:37 PM

Thanks RK! In our house, Mrs. Ching gets as much support and TLC as I do. That’s how it should be. I just feel Valentines Day is about us. Just like any other Holiday.

Gosh, can’t a woman just dream of her perfect day?

Emi February 13, 2010, 10:56 AM

Jimmy’s a tro-oll Jimmy’s a tro-oll!

Since when is Valentines day all about the woman. This sounds more like a wish list for mothers day.

Anonymous February 13, 2010, 11:06 AM

as a woman i’m going to have to say this is a pretty one-sided deal… valentines day isn’t a celebration of us… it’s a celebration of the saint valentine and unity. Also, the original valentines day was a pagan holiday where MEN chose their mates for a year… anyway…

Hungry February 13, 2010, 11:11 AM

How bout you all just make me a sandwich instead. Ok thanks.

JF February 13, 2010, 11:15 AM

I think you’re confusing mother’s day with valentine’day.

Wanting to be the only one relaxing on a day that is supposed to celebrate love relationships is a bit selfish, IMO.

Anonymous February 13, 2010, 11:21 AM

How about Valentine’s day isn’t just about the woman? Men like to feel special too ya know.

Anonymous February 13, 2010, 11:21 AM

I wonder when ‘feminism’ becomes ‘sexism’ once again. But then again it is so much easier to play the victim than to place ones self in another persons shoes. Being a woman myself I’m fairly amused and appalled by the fact that Valentines day has become the day in which everything is about us women.

I’m going to back Jimmy up on this one, hes making a point, apologizing if he offended, and all you people are doing is being outright immature back. If you are truly mothers I pity the futures progeny.

All this card did was redefined and reversed sexism… yeah, way to f-ing go…

vernon marsh February 13, 2010, 11:25 AM

That’s everyday at our house. Sorry you’re married to such a jerk.

Anonymous February 13, 2010, 11:40 AM

What a terrible relationship you must be in to have to have a valentine’s day card like this ….

unbound February 13, 2010, 12:00 PM

rofl - I do the majority of those things already…my wife still doesn’t think she has good days, much less perfect days.

Dream a little harder, but Happy Valentine’s Day!!
