The 9-month-old is safe; nine other people died in the blaze.
A 9-month-old was thrown from a fourth floor window of a burning apartment building in Germany Sunday, reports AOL News. The toddler plunged 40 feet as flames and smoke engulfed the building but was caught by a firefighter below. Could you throw your child from a fourth floor window to save them?

Yes there is no doubt I would do that to save my child. But I cannot imagine what they felt like dropping a child, with the child looking at you and wondering why, since you always try to protect them, why are you doing this. Thank God it has a happy ending.

It was a 9 month old baby not a 2 year old toddler and it was the 4th floor not 3rd. Not that it makes a difference but just thought I would add that…sorry my mom raised me as a proof reader! But yes if push came to shove and I DID NOT mean that as a pun merely a figure of speech, I would do the same.

and it was a cop that caught it not a fire fighter according to the AOL story that your link took me too. Can I get a job as a proof reader?….no really, can I?

I think I would, it would be the scariest and hardest decision I would ever have to make but to save my child I would do anything.
