Why teens really rock the vote this year
Legal age to vote may go down: When she was told she couldn't vote in the primary because she had not yet turned 18, Sarah Boltuck and her dad took her case to the state elections board and convinced them to restore the voting rights of approximately 50,000 teens who will turn 18 between the Feb. 12 primary and the Nov. 4 election.
More teens are turning out to vote: Voter turnout among teens has quadrupled since the previous presidential election.
Candidates are winning teens over online: If the presidential election were held on Facebook, the runaway winner would be Barack Obama with more than 500,000 Facebook friends. Hillary Clinton is a distant second with more than 112,000 members, John McCain has about 58,000 and Mike Huckabee trails with approximately 40,000 supporters.
