The Greening Book offers suggestions, exercises and games to get kids thinking green.

Here are the author's top tips:

Thank Mother Earth: Ask your kids to remember fun times they've had outside, like hiking, climbing trees or playing at the beach. This will instill a feeling of responsibility toward keeping Earth clean.

Make Earth a Friend: Encourage kids to treat the Earth the way they like to be treated by family and friends. Show them how you are kind to Earth by recycling and re-using when possible.

Think Before You Trash: Ask your children to think about what they're throwing away and how it might be used by someone else before it hits the can.
