Losing Sleep Over Losing Sleep

Mom•Logic Editor-in-Chief Sabrina Weill: Sleep is for other people.

When we first had kids, friends made helpful comments like "When they go to college, you'll sleep again!" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Not funny, people. Not funny because it's so, so true.
Let us count the ways to lose sleep:
1. Toddler nightmares. 2.
Insane amounts of first-grade homework
3. Gotta pack lunch. 4. Lunch is
embarrassingly non-nutritious.
5. Ready for the meeting? 6. Really
ready?
7. Blackberry. 8. Feeling unfairly vengeful toward husband for sleeping. 9. Sad realization: The only clean pink pants are ones Toddler Girl will not wear. 10. That "throw bedtime to the wind" Spring Break parenting philosophy, widely un-endorsed by experts.
Is Spring Break killing your schedule? Do you have secrets for getting zzzs? Please share. xxSabrina
Man. Do I know what you’re feeling. My top three? An almost two-year-old still not consistently sleeping through the night, who at times wakes her older sister as well; husband’s blackberry; and helicopters (we live near a hospital and there is apparently one pilot who likes to fly low). I haven’t had consistent good nights of sleep for almost five years! On the up side.. I have a wonderful husband who gets up with our girls almost every time they cry out at night. Now if I can just make the blackberry and helicopters disappear…
Does it ever end??!!! This no sleep is killing me.
A powerful share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing slightly evaluation on this. And he actually purchased me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I really feel strongly about it and love studying extra on this topic. If attainable, as you grow to be experience, would you mind updating your weblog with extra details? It is extremely useful for me. Big thumb up for this weblog put up!

No hidden secrets Sabrina, but thanks for sharing with us. Many Moms know what you’re feeling.
