Mom who hosed toddler turns herself in: The pregnant mom caught on tape for allegedly spraying her 2-year-old daughter with a high-pressure car wash hose for disciplinary purposes turned herself into police after seeing the surveillance footage on the news. The case is under investigation, but no charges have been filed.

States consider booster seat laws: Nine states are reviewing legislation that would require parents to put children younger than 8 years old in a booster seat while driving. All 50 states legally require children up to 4 years old to be in car seats, but child safety officials say booster seats should be mandated to prevent unnecessary injury in the event of a crash.
